He should be a caution to us. He was feeding many with his theocratic take on faith. So much that they didn’t even notice that it was a Mormon take.

The bible does not have bad advice for modern states, but that advice isn’t to become organs of Christendom. It’s to keep a level of order and decency in accordance with what the good Lord advised Noah for the post-flood society. That didn’t change with the advent of the special Hebrew state, nor did it change with the appearance of Christian faith and even its outreach from Jews to Gentiles.

Why the restraint? It’s because each authority has a rightful sphere. States shouldn’t be opposing Christendom but neither should they be expected to be promoting it. Charity begins at home, not in Caesar’s palace.

Glenn Beck agrees with Ted Cruz and his father and his wife who feel that Jr has been called by God to run this country. Cruz senior is a Dominionist.

Dominion Theology is a theocratic ideology that seeks to implement a nation governed by conservative Christians ruling over the rest of society based on their understanding of biblical law. Dominion Theology is related to theonomy, though it does not necessarily advocate Mosaic law as the basis of government.

If I wanted to live under a theocracy I would move to Saudia Arabia.
