I’m very serious. I agree that then-Congressman LaHood worked with the combine and that he helped persuade then-Sen. Fitzgerald to retire.

I also know that, while LaHood was in Congress, he usually voted conservatively. In Sept. 2006, I researched LaHood’s voting record. According to www.vote-smart.org, these are his 2005 ratings from some interest groups: NARAL, 0%; NOW, 29%; NAACP,30%, AFL-CIO, 21%; Americans for Democratic Action, 5%; Children’s Defense Fund, 0%; American Conservative Union, 65%; Americans for Tax Reform, 79%; U.S.
Chamber of Commerce, and 92%. After that, he became more conservative.

As the Combine Enforcer, his “persuasion” was along the lines of a common criminal pointing a Saturday Night Special at you and saying, “Your money or your life.”

His votes are irrelevant, his ACTIONS are high treason.
