I dislike Trump, who I consider a crass jacka—. This proposal however, is asinine. Trump, for all his manifest flaws, is head and shoulders better than either Clinton or Sanders. Sasse didn’t run when he could have, it is too late now.
The GOP went through this with Taft vs. T.R. Roosevelt 104 years ago. The only winner was the execrable Wilson, who was an authoritarian bigot.

I’ve always thought there is a chance Obama will declare martial aw thus preventing the election so he can stay in power. Now with the possibility of Trump taking over the presidency the odds have increased substantially.

A CLinton wins mean there will be no change, no upsetting
the apple cart. That may be good for the elite, but it is not good for the country. The country has been heading in the wrong direction for a long time. Continuing in that direction would be a disaster. Is that what they want? Any Republican who supports such an effort needs to have his/her career marked for extinction.
He doesn't need a "chance." He just has to keep Trump from getting 270 Electoral College votes. If he could force the election into the House, the Paul Ryan led Republicans would choose him over Trump to become the next President.
