Paglia is pretty much the only liberal feminist who ever writes anything worth reading. Even when she disagrees with what I consider to be the correct point of view, she still "gets it," something that a person like Hillary Clinton is utterly incapable of doing.

The only thing I disagree with Camille about is her assertion that Trump running to his destination was like a Roman emperor being hidden among his Praetorian guard. In fact, if you watch it, he nimbly escapes from the car and warmly clasps one of the secret service agent's shoulders who helped him. Do you think the obscenity-spewing, don't-make-eye-contact-with-me-you-scum Hillary Clinton would have done that?

Oh, and it's his eye not his teeth, I believe, that are a problem for Kirk Douglas in The Vikings. Although who knew Paglia watched John Ford westerns???

In their focus on Trump’s real-estate tycoon father, the media seem to have missed that the teetotaling Trump’s deepest connection was probably to his strong-willed, religious mother. Born in the stark, wind-swept Hebrides Islands off the western coast of Scotland (the next North Atlantic stop is Iceland), she was one tough cookie.
