Any good war needs a conquest plan, and frankly Bush’s for Iraq stank.
That land would have done well with a good, stern (but more or less fair) kingdom. Don’t think postwar Japan or Germany; think the Shah of Iran. Democracy is for the birds, when it comes to an Islamic country. Might as well give a fish a bicycle.

NAFTA was signed by Bill Clinton after receiving bipartisan support in the House and Senate. The House vote was close.
