And Trump received 25% of the votes out of the 20 candidates who ran in both parties, which means his vote count was amazingly high!
His defense of it is that every President since FDR had had it.
The reason for that is these complicated trade deals won't get passed if the Senate can add amendments to them.
So, he sold out the Constitution for expediency.

No, you're missing the point. It's not about Cruz losing. It's about Trump himself--the skepticism, distrust, and even disgust with which many social and constitutional conservatives view him.
I am not trying to attack anyone. That is not my point.
This is where I stand. When the primary started I could go either way. Trump or Cruz was fine with me. Both have their problems.
But Trump started attacking people personally. Megan was bleeding where ever. Dont get me wrong she pissed me off in the debate.
Carli was ugly.
Cruz was lying Ted.
Attacks like these really turned me off and I voted for Cruz in my state primary. The more he did these attacks the less I cared to listen to him and his positions.
Now that he has won I have no choice but to vote for him. With that said I must support him or face the flip side which is unbearable. I am supporting him by pointing out what people are doing to Cruz supporters that turned me away from voting for Trump in my primary.
And like I pointed out he has a long way to go to get to 505 plus to win. So why make it any harder than it has to be by attacking the very people who are most likely to vote for him?
If I have offended anyone it was not my intention. I am just trying to point out what to me is obvious.

By and large the early opinion was “may the best man win”
When it became obvious Cruz couldn’t win the nomination outright, and the shenanigans started with delegates, the opinion weight shifted.
Before that, many bit back against the NRO CFG types and their nevertrump.
The point is...
Many, if not most, were supporting their preferred candidate, with the other as a strong second. That was at one point true, anyway.
Cruz supporters now find themselves in various stages of the grief continuum....
Some clinging to false hope that Nebraska with revive the dead.
Many are angry.
Many are depressed.
Acceptance will come, and with that will come the ability to make rational decisions. Choosing not to support Trump may be the result for some. Some will be unmotivated to vote at all. But many will vote staunchly against the dems, and many will find themselves content if not even happy with Trump as a choice.
No choice is wrong if rationally made.
I never voted for McCain or Romney, but I voted as the doors opened against Obama. Voting third party or staying home with that much on the line was never, for me, an option.

He is an old fashioned patriot.
He is also a businessman, where his word is his bond. If people didn't/couldn't trust him, he wouldn't be where he is today.
Do you disbelieve him about building the wall?
Do you imagine that his love of America isn't real?

What is Trump’s position on Fast Track?
I brought up dem voters because like it or not Trump either gets the votes he needs to win from them or he gets them from the GOP.
Which do you think will vote for him more? Which will vote for him when they get insulted?
And why does it matter that the Cruz people are feeling butthurt as one poster put it? Trump supporters lashing out at the butthurt voters is not going to win any of these voters for Trump. It is Trump who needs these people to win.

His job as a lawyer is what he did. Ted would have just as happily have argued against the Constitution, if hired to do so.
I don’t think you know what Non Sequitur means. It means:
“a statement that is not connected in a logical or clear way to anything said before it”
You said, in response to my post that Trump at least is not Hillary, that that is all that Trump has going for him, implying that Trump has nothing else going for him.
But Trump does have other things going for him. Indeed, he has a position on immigration, which has turned out to be one of the focal points of this entire campaign season.
So, for me to raise Trump’s immigration position, in the context of our conversation, is in no way unconnected or illogical. It is, in fact, a sequitur!
Maybe he gets some Sander votes.
Stop whining about being insulted.

I dont trust him because he used a bunch of personal attacks on his opponents during the primary. This made it unbearable to listen to him. Because of this I still am not convinced that his position have changed from where they use to be. He could just be saying what will get him elected. And since we have seen that over and over in past election why cant he be doing the same thing now?
It is not my responsibility to convince myself that he is the best candidate that is his job if he wants to get my vote.
