Trump is the presumed nominee, and his fiercest critics on the right havent budged. Trump is quite distinguished from who he was running against in a number of ways, and he may face a challenge in converting their supporters to his side before November.
A new poll from Morning Consult found...

Where have I trashed Trump?
The worst I have said is that I dont trust him but I would still vote for him. The people who I am talking to are doing more harm to Trump than I am. They are driving away the people he could win to his side the easiest.
But hey what do I know I am just the one they insist on driving away.
I don’t think attacks on Cruz supporters are helpful either.
Cruz supporters are conservatives who chose to support someone else in this primary, and unfortunately that did cause some friction with other who went with Trump.
And they don’t deserve to be attacked. I used to support Cruz myself early on.
Now those who are saying that they will never vote trump or will vote for Hillary, that I think is a different case, but I am going to also try to leave them alone as much as possible too, because maybe they will come around.
Here’s the thing about trusting Trump. I’m not sure that I trust him either, because trust is earned and he hasn’t had a chance to earn my trust yet.
What I have done is I have chosen to believe him. He is an American, an alpha male, which I appreciate, a family man who loves his children and their children, so I tend not to believe that he is intentionally fooling us. I believe that his intention is to do well for America and his family and by extension our families.
So am I taking a risk in this belief? Yes.
I could end up being disappointed.
Ain’t no guarantees in this world.
“I am reading the most bat-shit crazy stuff around here lately.”
You ain’t lyin’. I’m beginning to think I’ve fallen into an alternate universe or something.
Never a conservative, like Trump?
I suggest you and all of Trump's Koolaid drinkers learn, quickly, how to become gracious winners, and figure out a way to convince Tea Party conservatives why we should vote for NYC liberal Trump in November.
Not if he won 1237 legit.
People were getting mad with the delegate games.
Huge news for those in the pro-life movement concerned about this years election.
Donald Trump has brought on John Mashburn as his Policy Director. This is an excellent hire, especially for the pro-life movement and our legislative priorities.
Amen...right there with you.
I was a cRuz supporter. I even worked to get him elected as my Senator.
I was for him, when he first announced as Prez.
I’ve been disappointed in cRuz since the trade deal debacle. He’s only hurt himself - and exposed himself to be an INSIDER - as time has gone on.
I’m disgusted that I ever supported him...with my time and $.
Once Trump was toying with the idea to run (this time) I knew I’d be all in. I’ve listened to his business positions, over the years, and knew I’d be supporting his run. I remember listening to Trump, on Rush’s show, back in 2008....and thinking....this guy should be running....NOT McQueeg!!
Excellent. So much for Trump only hiring liberals.
I don't care about the % when you have 17 candidates running and slowly have to them drop out.
Cruz himself only received about 46% in his own State and the excuse was because there so many other candidates.
The fact is that Trump is going to break the amount of votes received by a GOP candidate.
So, save the % of voter nonsense.
Time also will wound all “heels” and I’m hoping for that one as well. :-)
He is going to work with the Cruz people and bring them on board.
The problem is that Trump has also said he is pro-choice.
Not in a long time. It’s a better option than the known abortion lover.
“He is such a champion of the Constitution that he voted to give Obama Fast Track Authority, by passing the Senate’s ability to block the attack on U.S. sovereignty. “
I will have to look into that. Somehow I trust his instincts wrt the Constitution more than a one-sentence summary of something that was much more complicated.
Trump receive just over 10,000,000 votes out of about 25,000,000 GOP votes. This according to Wikipedia. There were about 22,000,000 dem votes cast. That means Trump received just over 10 million out of 47 million votes cast so far.
That is less than 25% of the votes which would be about 12 million. So he has a long way to go yet before he wins.
Trump has spent how much of his own money on this campaign, as to compared to Cruz and all his mega donors... And you want to claim 'Tea Party conservatives'.
I used to listen to Rush, when we went on long car trips; I guess we'll now be listening to "old radio" and discs, on this trip. I refuse to be annoyed by him any more!
Whether Trump unifies the party or not is really only up to Trump.
If he wants to there are a lot of phone calls and apologies to make. If he doesn’t want to, he doesn’t have to. It’s really entirely up to him whether he unifies the party or not.
Does he want to borrow Kasich’s Ohio organization or create a new one? If he does, he knows what he needs to do, and he probably needs to do it publicly. That crap about the disgusting eating was about the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard a politician say, A completely random personal attack against someone who isn’t a threat and you need something from him very badly. Does he make up? It’s really up to Trump. Can he make good for his vulgarities? Or is Trump just Trump?
Good post concerning coal miners, Vets, and small businesses!
How about you stop being a Salty Sally and show some manners?
