Support for a speech??? Good Lord, you grasp at straws. Can you name politicians who roundly condemned Obama's speech (which included sympathies for the victims)? I think not.

while he mentioned assault weapon bans as late as 2012, he further went on to clarify that (for example) an AR-15 was NOT an assault weapon. He may just be using the term 'assault weapon' correctly -- a first for a politician -- to mean full auto.
