PING
When push comes to shove and hanging chads are important I believe that the Pubbies will unite. JMHO!
I second the motion, and please, no more derogatory names for the Republican candidates, or their supporters, from anyone from now on.
God I love hearing this. After 1988, 1992, 2000, 2008, and 2012 — when I was lectured I must accept the ‘moderate Republican’, and ‘hold my nose and vote’, it’s finally the ESTABLISHMENTS TURN.
Congratulations to Donald J. Trump on his convincing win. Bobby Jindal was as hard on Trump as anybody, and paid quickly. He too wants the leftists beaten. He’s a good man who is doing the right thing for the right reason.
Beat Hillary Rodham Clinton!
If the Republican is as vile as the Democrat, what’s the point?
Levin and Beck are hinting at a third party run. They didn’t get the memo. Petulant turds.
We are going to hear a lot more voices saying this...and we should.
I was a Cruz supporter...but I am all in for a Trump victory.
I respect Cruz backing away from the abyss last night and suspending his campaign. I think it caught a lot of people by surprise.
But it was exactly what he needed to do. He knew at that point that there was no chance of stopping Trump from a first ballot victory and thus any path he might have held out for was closed.
And he rightly admitted that it was the people whose vote made that clear.
I hope and pray, after reflection and determining what is clearly the best for the country, that he will ultimately support Trump in his bid for the presidency.
At this point he should stay in the Senate to help that happen, and to be there to encourage Trump to keep his promises.
Those who will either not vote...or some of those indicating that they may vote for Hillary instead, IMHO, would be doing a HUGE disservice to this nation, and to their own children and grandchildren.
If Trump will do the principle points he has espoused and detailed on his website, America will turn around and be a far better place heading in a far better direction than what Hillary would ever make happen.
People need now to step back, put their pride and their motion behind them and help defeat the DNC this November.
My guess is, others will join Jindal in getting our focus squarely on the enemies.
Cruz was Yesterday; Hillary and Berny are today!
What is the point? Why should people who have been insults, lied about, called names etc. step in an support someone supported by people like you? Why should we reward your bad behavior? I am leaning against it as of now.
Patriots will be calling for unity to defeat Hillary. I hope that Cruz, Kasich, and the others’ supporters stand together.
And today, Ka-sick came out with Star war Ad
enjoy it
Alexander Hamilton said If we must have an enemy at the head of government let it be one whom we can oppose, and for whom we are not responsible.
A Hillary presidency, even with a Republican Congress, will be a disaster for conservatives.
But it was the constitutional idealism of the Tea Party that held back Democrats and establishment GOPers from working together to expand the reach of government.
A turn to white identity politics and anger is turn away from that idealism.
And there are other, long-term political advantages to beating back an authoritarian populist who peddles conspiracy theories and big-government schemes and doesnt have a freshman-level comprehension about the basic workings of American governance.
For starters, there are things just as important as the presidency. Its better to have a minority party impeding the growth of government poweryes, often ineffectively and incompetentlythan enabling two parties that embrace it. To save a party of more limited government, conservatives must 1) save Congress from Trump and 2) save the GOP from itself.
I wish the Trump/Cruz fight hadn’t been so viscous as I would have loved to have seen a President Trump VP Cruz ticket. I thank Cruz for graciously leaving the contest and Trump for declaring what a great Fighter Cruz was.
I’m glad to see Jindal making a comeback. I did not want him for president. I don’t think he has the mindset to be a ruthless executive under fire. He DOES have a superlative administrative mind and great diligence. He is a force multiplier for a strong executive and proved that during the years of Governor Foster in Louisiana. Those are rare and vitally important qualities.
Someone joked last night that he should be the new RNC chair, because at least one GOPe person should learn what it is like to be supplanted by and have to train his Indian replacement. While an amusing poke, the idea actually has a LOT of merit. I would love to see Jindal put in that kind of position. We would see some serious, earnest work and ethical improvement by orders of magnitude.
A vote for Trump is a vote for Obama to finish overthrowing the Constitution and remain in office.
The press and over half of the country would applaud him for such an action if it ever looked like Trump was really headed for the Whitehouse.
As a conservative, I have nothing but contempt for those Republicans who will not support Trump. In the past, I have had to swallow hard to support a RINO, but I have done so for the sake of the future.
I watched his interview on Fox. He made it clear he didn’t particularly like Trump, but he will be voting for him and helping his campaign against Hillary.
IMHO, this is the correct thing to do.
I was in Jindal’s corner in the beginning. I only saw him speak a couple of times but he was quite impressive, not to mention his record as Governor of Louisiana.
I was shocked that he tried to bash Trump (at the behest of Karl or Reince I’m sure) on his way out of the race. It was below Jindal to do that.
If bygones can be bygones, I hope there’s a place for Mr. Jindal in a Trump administration. He’s a good man, and he has much to offer.
I agree with Jindal. I’m obviously no Trump fan, but he is proud to be an American, while Hillary hates everything that made this country great. I didn’t like Romney either, but I was glad to cast a vote for him in what proved to be a futile attempt to stop Obama from a second term.
Hillary hates America. That is obvious. Trump, whatever else I think of him, loves America. It makes the choice simple for me.
