I wouldn't bet on it. Cruz got a huge chunk of the constitutional conservative vote, and those people are not happy about their man being wantonly trashed. Nor are they particularly happy about the gloating displayed by the winning faction ... especially since the proper time for gloating has yet to come.

The vitriol was dialed up to 11 on both sides, and if the Cruz eople are unwilling to recognize that, they need an attitude adjustment.

The Trump supporters need to start mending some fences, IMO. Not all of those broken down - that's politics as usual, and would damage Trump's brand of politics. But some, such as with the Cruz supporters, need to be worked on.

In the beginning of this, I stated that either Trump or Cruz would be acceptable to me. Trump marginally, and Cruz especially. At the end, it is Cruz who comes out as marginally supportable - because of the newfound ties to the GOPe, and because of my observations of his behavior during the campaign. Trump has progressed beyond marginal support, although I am still wary because several of the key issues that propelled his candidacy appear to be somewhat dormant now.

I hope he is committed to actually doing what he has espoused.

He always has, or has tried his best, in the past. Can’t see that changing. If anything he’ll be more determined.

I saw him in Radford, VA. Venue only held 3800, but 12000 showed up to see him. SO glad I got there 8am to stand in line. Anyhow, the crowd was absolutely electrified. Gave me goose bumps.
