Cruz just didn’t know when to quit. I can respect that, although I hope he hasn’t done significant damage to our cause.
It was a Battle Royale.
I’m kind of sad it’s over.
But can’t wait for Trump to start it up with Hillary.
Trump never holds grudges.
Both Trump and Cruz gave classy speeches tonight, although Cruz never congratulated Trump.
I thought Trump sounded quite gracious. No gloating or anything. I think it will be interesting to hear the tone he’ll take in the general election
I’m sure he regrets ever having to shake hands with one of the most unlikable public figures of all time.
I say this sincerely, God bless Cruz for manning up and stepping away.
After all that was said, after his anger earlier in the day...it is clear that he took and followed good advise and dropped out.
Many did not expect him to do so. I give him a lot of credit for doing it.
This at least gives us hope that we can see a united party that will allow Trump to win a great victory in November.
As a supporter of his, I had pled with him to do so.
My Open Letter to Ted Cruz after the NY Primary

I’m glad Trump was magnanimous in victory and Cruz realized it was time to suspend his campaign. Hey Kasich, your turn.
As a Cruz supporter, it was time for him to drop out. Had he stayed in I could have no longer supported him for trying to split the vote even further. Trumps tone tonight gave me some hope that we can put this back together. I just hope Trump doesn’t take a giant leap left either now or after he is elected. Time will tell.
And in the decades to come, people will have to read the captions to remember who that dorky looking guy on the stage with President Trump was.
Cruz ran a tremendous campaign and brought the Constitution forward as the single most important element to restoring America’s greatness. He is brilliant guy who has served us well as the most formidable conservative in politics today, bar none. Things got off track after NY and the northeast but I knew he would put the better interests of the country ahead of what would have been futile after IN. I am proud to have voted for him in FL.
Trump will be well advised to let things heal a bit and then seek out his support. My wildest dreams would be that the Trump campaign put pressure on the party to press McConnell to retire and push Cruz as next Senate Majority Leader. He is what we need running the senate agenda during a Trump presidency if we are ever going to make America great again. Let’s see what happens.
My butt is hurting.
He sounded presidential.
Lyon’ Ted is now Lion Ted, and if he plays his cards right and brings the party together, Supreme Court Justice Ted.
Very modest and toned downed speech. Giving Cruz a cover out. “Love covers.....”
Trump didn’t gloat and Cruz didn’t whine - if they can contain themselves, we should be able to unite behind the real cause - stop Hillary....
