M1 with an old NATO Cartridge
The new Hunting Cartridges are too powerful and will bend the gas charging rod... some of them I use in my Bolt Rifle are 3200 ft per second ... might be a little lighter grain wise but you ought to see them hogs drop!
My favorite Hog gun is 357 Mag Lever ... that is because I wear my 357 Mag Revolver on my right thigh. (I love that lil puppy!) and it also means I’m on the ground, in the brush and adrenalin is pumping! Believe it or not a 357 Mag sometimes only slows down or ticks off a Big Boar ... 5 more from the Revolver can change their attitude/ disposition and composition.
