I thought EBT cards had replaced food stamps, so it is hard to tell who is using what. Am I misinformed?
EBT cards have “replaced” food stamps, but there are certain things that are not able to be transacted as food stamp eligible items and have to be paid through the welfare portion of the card with another transaction (EBT cash transfers for lack of the proper term if there is one). I have seen this more than once. Maybe in some states it is seamless, but I haven’t seen it be seamless here in MN.
