I am a Cruz supporter but at this point I am ready for him to conceded defeat and work at making sure Hillary does not get elected. Cruz is hated by the establishment, and does not enjoy the media adoration that Trump does so he has no chance. Trump proves that even conservatives are not immune to celebrity worship, he tossed a few bones out early about the “wall” and other sound good tidbits and he had his following. All of you who love and adore Trump, pay close attention to advisors he surrounds himself with, he has no core ideology that drives him, and has shown limited knowledge about how to govern, so he will be whatever advisors he has surrounded himself with.
Trump's core ideology is "winning". Now, we have to define winning. The only thing we really have is a firm demonstration of what losing is. If the opposite is winning, then I think we are going to be fine since he doesn't have a warped vision of things being "great" like Hillary thinks they are.
Also, I believe core to "winning" is a National identity. It is the USA and it's people That currently are not winning. Winning then is couched in his "What is in America's Best Interest First" commitment. When the end brings a result that is superior to the American people versus other alternatives, WE "win".
Also core to the thought of "winning" is a fair game, a level field. That is a core ideology of Trump's. I believe all of these Trump will bring. But I agree with you that advisers will play a very important role, and I hope that Trump surrounds himself with a very competent and conservative team.
