I thought it was a nice speech. One’s allowed to be a bit long-winded when one is saying goodbye.

He came across as a good guy. He didn't directly swipe at Trump, he didn't say he would fight on. He chose to speak about issues on which he sounds conservative. Said God has a plan for each of us and seemed to be accepting that the presidency in 2016 wasn't the plan for him.

I doubt he's burned his bridges in Ohio.
