I think they are the best looking dogs in the world. But to improve them genetically, just breed one to a different cute dog with good demeanor.

Would the cavalier get a curly coat ?

I admit that I'm not familiar with poodles, but Henry is a pure Cav and though he does have bad a bad knee or two, thankfully, they don't give him a lot of trouble. Play fetch with him ( which he can do for hours on end ) and he is one VERY happy doggie.
