After watching cruz for so long and wondering exactly what it is about him that makes him seem “off” somehow, I think I’ve come up with the answer. He acts like someone with Aspergers. People with the condition can be near genius but never learn how to perform what we consider normal social exchanges. They have to “control” everyone and everything around them. The word that comes up most frequently concerning him is, “he’s creepy”. That is a perfect term for a person with Aspergers. I had a young girl in one of my congregations with it and she was “creepy”. I worked with her and put her in things to expand her social ability. She finally had to have medical help. Saw her yesterday. She’s working and plans on going to college in the fall. Still sort of creepy, but functioning.
