Yes and we were a very different nation back then, as well. I worked on both of Reagan's winning presidential campaigns, in Chicago, and even some of the Gold Coast the Limousine Libbies were for him and raising money for him.

This is hardly my "first rodeo", as they say, and believe me when I say that this is HISTORIC !
