Every major personality disorder includes “gender confusion” as a marker for the disorder.
Gender confusion used to be called homosexual.
“Every major personality disorder includes gender confusion as a marker for the disorder.”
Given the fact that every person has neuroses and every person has a mix of masculine and feminine gender characteristics, how could it be any different?
“Gender confusion used to be called homosexual.”
That is yet another widespread myth. Various sex role studies such s the Bem Sex Role Inventory (BSRI) have demonstrated there is a scale of human sex role behavior with androgynous behavior at the center point of the scale, ultra femininity at the extreme end of the scale, and ultra masculinity at the opposite extreme end of the scale. When studying homosexuals in relation to this scale of androgyny, femininity, and masculinity it was found that the vast majority of Lesbian women were clustered at the ultra feminine end of the scale and the vast majority of the Gay men were clustered at the ultra masculine end of the scale. The more obvious effeminate males were strung out along the scale across the normal feminine, androgynous, and masculine areas of the scale. The heterosexual people clustered somewhere near the center regions of the scale for feminine for women and masculine for men with considerable cross gendered behaviors for both.
The stereotype of the homosexual necessarily being an effeminate male turns out to be the rare exception to the general rule that most Gay men are ultra masculine types found in occupations such as police, military, men’s sports, and so forth. Likewise for women, the obvious Butch Lesbian is the rare exception to the general rule that most Lesbian women are the ultra feminine lipstick Lesbians that usually escape notice as being Lesbians. The testing of the transgendered people found them to be scattered all across that spectrum in accordance to the genders they identified with.
