Colorado's six-time Olympic gold medal winning swimmer Amy Van Dyken-Rouen says agents with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) humiliated her.
She took to social media Sunday to detail her experience getting through security at Denver International Airport.
She said agents made her go through a full body search even though she has Pre check.
"They go around your breasts, they basically go under your butt and the just grab things, not grab, they touch things that are not appropriate and it's really embarrassing," said Van Dyken-Rouen.
Van Dyken-Rouen said as much as she and husband Tom travel all over the country, shes never been screened like this or treated like this.
Van Dyken-Rouen took to Instagram shortly after getting through security to detail her experience and call out the agent who she said was rude to her.

Been driving everywhere I go since June-2002. If I can’t drive, I don’t go. I may change my mind sometime, but its been 14 years so far...
I ain’t put on a burkha; but I wear muu-muus that cover
my butt & cleavage. Yes. A woman prancing around thinking
she’s just dressing “sexy” is ASKING FOR IT - especially
from men who are already demented cockeyed.
I dressed in ways in earlier years that was not
appropriate; & I’m ashamed of it now. Looking at old
photos of bikini-butt me; I looked like an emaciated
trollop. Also, one where I wore a crop top showing my
navel in low cut shorts was pitiful. It was shameful
that I wore that outfit in front of the roofers who were
working on our house & talking about me behind my back.
I caused THEM to sin in their minds which was not
right.
Come up with an original reply. (If you think you can wag
your nekkid butt & 3/4 exposed breasts in front of a
man’s face & not receive some responsibility; you are
WRONG!)
No. Didn’t read the whole article. How do the agents KNOW
that she is not some ringer being used to smuggle in
explosives or weapons? THEY also have their side of the
story.
Your post is both rude and crude.
Some probably did “have it coming”; as you well know.
I don’t have any intention of going to some third world
cesspool.
Dressing provocatively (which this woman probably did not
do) IS WRONG, I don’t care HOW much you WANT to do as you
please.
To repeat; the agents had NO guarantee that she was not
being used as a mule to smuggle in explosives or weapons
to the airport. They did not know her personally; nor did
most of us before reading this story. (No matter how
IMPORTANT one fancies themselves; still not all that many
people know who they are beyond their 15 minutes of fame.)
How do the agents KNOW
that she is not some ringer being used to smuggle in
explosives or weapons? “
Seriously? A ‘ringer’ for her AND her husband and ID’s for both of them?
PERVERTS-R-US
Because the agents could have known who she was. One of them just looked at her ID. And they could use a better system to target potential criminals and quit harassing people who’ve already been give the security clearance to go through pre check.
I was at an airport this morning. The TSA agents looked like fat bus drivers in a major metro city.
Well. There’s always FORGED ID’s & faked handicaps. (Kids
in our neighborhood would make themselves crutches &
crip around our road on the crutches. I asked my dad to
make me a pair of crutches. He said, “HELL NO!!” & that
was the end of the crutch fantasy for me. He had been
through WWII and had no patience for fake injury.) I don’t
travel well any more. :o(
Well. KISS MY GRITS!!!
What in the world makes you think she was scantily clad? The woman is in a wheelchair, for God’s sake.
Denver (the airport of the TSA agent in the story) is Amy’s hometown - everyone knows her. Her husband is a former Bronco football player. If you’re trying to sneak by security unnoticed, you don’t pick celebrities from the area.
Most I see are wearing those skin tight workout pants that show every little crack and crevice. Might as well be naked.
I’ve had conversations with many of these TSA folks. What amazes me is their obvious lack of education, manners and common sense - I’m sure this delights potential terrorists.
Traveled to New York for a family trip a few weeks ago. TSA in ATL harassed my 13 year old daughter who had a doctor ordered splint on her wrist for a wrist injury. There was no “inappropriate touching” but just general harassment (squeezing it, asking if she could take the metal rod out, forcing her to take it off her wrist) and intentional delay in getting us through security. Coming back through LGA it was incredibly pleasant. They told her she was fine and it wasn’t an issue after looking at it for 2 seconds. TSA is inconsistent and arbitrary and 10 years behind the times. It needs to be completely overhauled.
