Texas definitely is different, I lived there for 8 years for work and moved back to NJ 3 years ago. Each has its appeal but I found it too slow paced and rather boring after having grown up in the garden state. I like the seasons, being within an hour of the city, the beach, the mountains, Delaware water gap..and most importantly, this is where work is! That pretty much dictates everything.
