You are entitled to that opinion, of course, but I hope more people on FR will eventually read the objective facts - not single tactical votes taken out of context, but the actual complete voting record. There is a reason Cruz is ranked as one of the top three conservatives in the US Senate by every organization that does rankings, including liberals who hate him the most, and it's not because of those rare positions that were taken to make a point. If his biggest flaw is not giving up when Trump was winning, in the long term that's not really as terrible a problem as some seem to think.
Trump is going to be the nominee, and eventually we'll find out if the Trump voters were right, but eight years from now (if not sooner) we will need to replace him. I hope we will have recovered from the silly season and started recognizing facts again before that time comes.
It worries me that so many even on FR treat Cruz as Hillary's evil twin, when that is the opposite of the truth. Cruz is the most conservative candidate in the race this year, and Kasich is so close to Hillary's positions that the differences between Kasich and Hillary only barely matter. I miss the days when republicans paid attention to reality.
His biggest flaw is that he’s incapable of empathy with any other human being on the planet. There’s a name for that sort of derangement, look it up if you care.
