You know what really gripes me about the media... and make no mistake of it, they want the narrative be that Trump is a con man...is that Trump goes to these great places, that have a history, like the Indiana Theater where Jack Benny, Bob Hope and others played. Beautiful architecture, and today the Palladium...and they won’t show it.
Now being asked about agitators in California with the Trump balloon/effigy in California, what is your message to them? Trump brings up he had people on stage who had family members who were killed by illegal immigrants, 31,000 people in attendance and was a lovefest. He could lead a bigger parade.
As for how he intends to get those people in his tent, he is going to create jobs. Says unemployment is really 20%. The race is about jobs and the economy. He thinks many of the younger Bernie Sanders people will come his way.
Trump knows he is dealing with a hostile venue, he is filibustering, LOL.
Questioner repeats the question "how?" four times, as Trump is describing bringing jobs back.
CNN says, on the wall, what about the tunnels? Now wonders why Trump didn't tweet about Obama's remarks at the correspondent's dinner. Trumps says he thought the remarks were fine (but doesn't add in that the venue was comedy), says he does lots of foreign deals.
He says he didn't show up at the dinner because the press would report it dishonestly, as Trump having a miserable time. In 2011 he said he'd had a great time, and the press reported he was humiliated and made miserable.
Last question is comparative Hillary/Trump on experience with dealing with foreign leaders. Trumps says you (personally to his questioner) are creating this phony pushback. Trump brings up Benghazi, Syria, Libya, Iran deal, awful deals.
Pretty long interview, reaction next, I'm going for a walk. Very very hostile interview on CNN. Trump handled it well.
