Let’s ask ourselves this question -— did we attack Afghanistan prior to Sep 11, 2001?
No we did not. But they attacked us.
So what do you expect Americans to do after we discovered that Osama Bin Ladin was behind it and Mullah Ohmar, leader of the Taliban was protecting him in that S***thole called Afghanistan?
Apparently, by your lights, because we do not want to spend money which could have been used for your precious Social Security, we should just let Osama Bin Ladin go and not invade Afghanistan and save those billions.... Yeah, that’ll do the trick.
Allow more terrorists to attack us and then when dictators all over the world thumb their noses at our great country and give sanctuary to these animals, just let them be because we do not want to spend money which should have been spent on social security.
If I were to follow your logic, we might as well cut our military budget and use that money to pay for social security.
And when countries like Iran are developing nukes and ballistic missiles to one day reach Israel and eventually, Europe and the USA, let’s not engage them at all because, hey — we should be using that money for social security.
