I once went in a little quaint grocery store in a po dunk town in North Carolina that was advertising pecan pies like crazy.
We went in to pick up the pie and I was the ONLY white, non-Mexican person in the store. The store had entire aisles devoted to Mexican foods--straight up serious Mexican foods that would rival any store here in Arizona, I am not talking Old El Paso. And this was about 6 years ago, before the dreamers and the borders were completely open.
