Read that again.
His whole life has been marketing and promotion--of Donald Trump, his business, the golf courses, steaks, vineyard, clothing, even the name of his boat (while he had it) and the side of his helicopter proclaim "Trump". If he was so astute why didn't he opt in when people had been saying these things only 10 years, or 5 years? Because it wasn't marketable.
As far as opening up dialogue, he hit the media with the sort of statements that would play through news cycle after news cycle--he is a 'reality' TV guy--he knows how to get free advertising. No media is bad media, no matter how you put that. He remains marketing and promotion, as seen on TeeVee!

But, he is the marketer and the promoter of his own brand. I was responding to your claim that people on TV are nothing but marketing and promotion as created by others.
Everyone who is successful is the marketer and promoter of their own brand. If you don’t do that, your talents and competence will become someone else’s success story. They teach that in business school and Trump did seem to pay attention at Wharton.
In other words, the fact that you know who Donald Trump is is proof that he’s all self-promotion and marketing.
Right. What we need is a politician who can get votes without anybody knowing who he is.
