Yes, I have heard their were 35 pools but let that go. The point being, if we expanded the pools to all 50 states and a host of other free market reforms we wouldn't have needed Obamacare, it wasn't about care, it was about control.
What no one sees is Insurance was handled by the State Insurance Commissioners and State boards that met to streamline interstate issues and have some commonality in licensing sales reps etc ( and my guess High Risk Pools). Obamacare again took a hammer and dinged the Armor of the 10th Amendment because the "Website" might give you a policy in your state, but it gives you a Federal presence and IMHO stepped on States Power here. To top it off the policies are Federally subsidized and not a before tax purchase, where it would have been if you had a small business,and bought it on your own, it would have been deductible.
There are so many things that are not congruent with Obamacare it is enough to make your head spin and spit pea soup...
134 bucks amonth with a 2000 dollar deductable. Just for myself.
I had jumped through all the hoops to get it and they dropped it because of Obama care.
It was set up like High risk Workmens comp insurance in a way.
