Hey Pat

If God wanted to intervene directly to bring his righteousness to American politics we wouldn’t have had a Democrat President in the last 100 years

Act of God? Just like Chandra Levy, the D.C. Madam, Mary Pinchot Meyer, Vince Foster, Mary Mahoney, Ron Brown, et al...

Pat didn’t mention righteousness.

He mentioned that only divine intervention could stop it.

An act of God. It is a figure of speech.

I think only divine intervention can save Cruzers from sanctimonious butthurt.

Well, that is not what Buchanan said. But if Pat HAD said that . . .

. . . in the Bible there are many times where God uses evil rulers to chastize the nation of Israel (including when it was split beween the dual kingdoms of Israel and Judah).

Sometimes the rulers were foreign despots, such as during the Babylonian captivity. But mostly, the evil rulers were their own in-house kings, such as Ahab, Jeroboam, Rehoboam, Jehoiakim, etc.

In the Bible, God says that when those whom he loves stray from him, he sometimes chooses to chastize them in order to drive them from their worldly pursuits and back to Himself and His righteousness.

Bible says god permits it all. But sometimes he allows people to have wicked rulers because they want it and deserve it. These days America will be lucky if we get a godly ruler and trump is not one.

He knows that and he isn't anti-Trump - just making the obvious statement that some of the last-ditch Cruz folks need to become aware of. God ain't gonna stop trump and they aren't either - the real battle is now stopping Hillary and we need to all be on board that train.
