I blame George HW Bush. If he had simply continued what Reagan had put in motion, he would have been reelected, and we would have never had Clinton.
It as Clinton who made political corruption fashionable, and initiated the moral downfall of the USA.
Imagine what the world would be like today if Reagan had chosen a conservative for his VP.

Imagine what the world would be like today if Reagan had chosen a conservative for his VP.Reagan needed GHWB in 1980; he didn't need him in 1984, and could have picked a successor like Jack Kemp or even the young Newt Gingrich. That he didn't simply proves the truth of Ecclesiastes 2:18-21, that you can produce great things, and then leave them to one who will destroy what you have done.

The Bushes fooled a lot of people over the years and there are still people here who think G.W. is a conservative.

Imagine what the world would be like today if Reagan had chosen a conservative for his VP. I remember reading in one of those books written by ex secret service ( I think it was At Arms Length ), that after the election was over and Bush lost, the agent was in the living room with Bush and his family. On the coffee table were a bunch of conservative magazines and publications. Bush went over to the table and swept them all to the floor saying " At least we don't have to have this sh#t hanging around anymore"
