I don’t think Rush is as innocent as all that. And having listened to Rush for many many years it’s my opinion that if he were honestly reporting his own opinions he would be a big Trump supporter. Unfortunately he doesnt have the ability, for the reason I said before, to honestly report his true thoughts and opinions on this particular matter.
It is funny how it always depends on whose ox is gored on how people perceive other opinions or statements. This has become a major source of entertainment for me during this political season. I get a smattering of Limbaugh, Hannity, and Levin at the various times I'm in my car during the day. Levin is the only one who has clearly lined up in a certain corner. The other two are still in the "bob and weave" mode for the most part.
The strongest thing I've heard from Rush on Cruz are statements about being the most conservative candidate. I've also heard Rush admire the way Trump has handled the media with his non-PC approach. Hannity has really been the most difficult one to classify because he's been pretty scrupulous on the on-air time for every candidate.
Thank you for speaking for me and my husband. I keep thinking Rush is going to come on a radio show and say, Folks, I was just kidding all these months about Trump. Just wanted to see if you were truly mind-robots or if you can actually think for yourselves. It was all a joke (heh, heh) like the time I said I would throw my support to Bill Clinton. Remember that? You all thought I really meant it, but I was just playing with you, being absurd. This time I did it for a much longer time, but folks, I was just playing with you, being absurd. I am still your harmless fuzzball El Rushbo and you are still my dittoheads.
Thousands of Americans are dieing from Mexican brown heroin and Obama doesn’t say a word neither do the GOP approved *conservatives*. Makes you wonder if the United States has also become a narcostate like Mexico.
I think he’s had it with Trump. As another has mentioned Trump baffled Conservatives with his Tranny bathroom stance. I do think this will hurt him in the long run.
There was a time when Rush was all for ‘original intent’ of the Constitution. But his support of either Cuban as eligible to hold the office of president demonstrates that Rush has thrown our Constitution into the trash. I have no respect for any that willfully joins in with the liberal attempts to destroy our Constitution.
When one compares and contrasts the private lives of Trump to Rush, Trump is actually more conservative than Rush. Rush’s love affair with the globalists, open borders, amnesty bulldozers is NOT conservative. I think GAWD has removed that talent he loaned out to Rush.
Rush made his deal with the devil.
“How will you know which products not to buy? ]:<) “
Yeah. It’ll be hard, deciding whether to not buy the $1000 sheets that are now only “a few hundred dollars” or a dozen strawberries “on sale” for $25.00.
“Rush you made this conflict yourself by teaching your listeners to think for themselves and they are.”
EXACTLY, and Rush explained to us just who the GOPe are and what they want. Before Rush, most of us were clueless as to why we never seem to get a candidate that cares about border security or white, working class, people. Now we know this is BY DESIGN.
And the GOPe got away with it, UNTIL NOW. They jumped the shark with open borders...there is NO WAY that legalizing 30,000,000 new (mostly) DEMOCRATS is going to anything other than a DEATH BLOW to conservatism. Unlike Europe, we have a strong, conservative Christian base, which has so far been able to pretty much balance out the left...30 MILLION new (mostly) Democrats will tilt us to just what Europe is - which is a continent with FAKE ELECTIONS where the only choices they have are their equivalents of Hillary and Bernie in virtually every ‘election’. The candidates that want to be like Trump and protect their countries are simply brought up on charges, and therefore prevented from running.
Rush exposed this GOPe after being perplexed (like all of us) for many years, and Trump walked straight into the opening that the GOPe gave him.
I LOVE IT!
Yep. Years ago.
I suspect brother David (a person I have admired in the past) is having a significant influence on him as hes totally anti-Trump. >>>> yes i heard his interview locally and why does no one talk about Cruz’s VAT at 11% that is a huge tax increase.
The Donald has spoken largely in generalities, without being so very specific on the particulars of policy, but what he has said so far appeals to a very broad swath of American opinion.>>> i agree his speeches are not policy outlines which will basically bore averone to tears but i like his published policies and they were put in print? long ago and have been added to. And these were far more detailed than what was orignally on Cruz and Rubios web sites. They used to list legislation they backed which could be good or bad depending on the deails. most legislation i have read is bad.

One good thing to come out of all this is the exposure of “conservatism” as being a subjective term more than an objective one.
Before anyone flames me, to attempt to clarify- the Establishment has had us in a box all along. They’ve told us what conservative values are and they scorned anyone who dared think outside that box. And now we find that they’ve created that box so that we wouldn’t pay attention to what was going on outside those box parameters to enrich themselves. They could control us by holding the things up in the box like a carrot for us to fight over. And all the while they were operating outside the box with the guys from the other box.
maybe someone will understand what I’m trying to say and say it better.

How’s that? You want your name on or off?
That's what he wants you to believe, but it is, and has been since "Cotherine" entered the picture: time killing phone calls, ice tea scams, Rush Revere reviews/commercial and slanted promotion of whatever project/position/personality currently is in his/GOPe favor.
What he's doing is his business, you're right, it's his gig. But knock of the horsechit about the "Doctor of Democracy" and "America's Truth Detector".
He is now, and has been for quite awhile, a paid hack.
I just received a bizarre boo-hoo FaceBook post from Rush whining that Cruz has everyone pitted against him while Trump has all these supports and marveling that under these circumstances Cruz has gotten as far as he has. What planet is he on?
Is Rush not able to acknowledge that almost the entire Conservative Punditry (except for Gateway Pundit, CTH and FR) including National Review, PJ Media and most of FOX news, among many others aren’t full bore behind Cruz? Began to wonder if Rush has insulated himself from the national conversation to the point where he only checks in with Drudge who’s also behind Trump.
A person as insightful as Rush used to appear to be would know that Cruz is a dead man walking and has been for some time. But instead, Rush insists on propping him up while smearing Trump at every available opportunity. No way to question him except through a tightly screened phone call. No room for comments on his website. He can’t and won’t face the onslaught of criticism.
So what’s next for Rush when Trump wins the nomination and, I hope, the WH? I have a feeling that you folks who are hanging in as loyal listeners are in for a shockeroo if you think he’ll support Trump 100%. Don’t count on it.
or, some conservatives defined the group so narrowly they left out most of conservative folks.
Yes, THE WALL. Before Trump it was always a “fence” (that never got built).
Now, except in this article, the word “fence” is gone from public discussion, replaced with the Trump word “wall”.
Yet no one ever points out the fact that Trump coined the term “wall” for our border fence.
Great write-up, by the way.
Also, this is beginning to look like a pattern for Rush, sadly. In this case he gets us all worked up and informed as to what the GOPe thinks of us and what they do behind our backs to lock out our concerns. Then Trump comes along and threatens to smash the GOPe to pieces...and who does Rush side with: The ONLY PERSON alive that can stop Trump from getting to 1237.
It reminds me of the Sandra Fluk deal. Rush rightly warned us to look out for the gender card, and sure enough it came. But then Rush dug into Sandra Fluk, calling her a slut - and guess what, HE STEPPED RIGHT INTO IT, losing listeners and many, many, advertisers, and also hurt the GOP effort in that year.
