I used to enjoy the White House Correspondence Dinners with George Bush. I remember one where he did a slide show and it was pretty funny.

Comedy Central’s “The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore.”

I don’t know if I’ll watch it or not. I don’t know anything about this Larry guy but I suspect he’ll take it to Trump (”roast”) a lot more than Obummer or Cruz. and before him, we have to hear Obummer spout stuff he thinks is funny.
I’ll probably watch the guests arrival as I like to see who is attending and what the ladies are wearing.
Thanks for sharing that. Even when Obama does it, he has decent joke writers. It might be funny even as we cringe over what he chooses. And thank goodness it’s his last. Remember this is the part of “presidentin” that he actually likes.
My sister maica and I joined with many Freepers in 2001 to watch White House Correspondents Dinner participants walking to the hotel. Our favorite was probably Ralph Nader, whose Green Party candidacy took crucial votes from AlGore. We cheered him all the way as he crossed the very wide road. He smiled until he saw that we probably weren’t actually his fan club.
