The polls on RCP are a bit older. Saw a thread that Trump had an internal poll with him at 51% in Indiana. That may be a bit of a stretch, too as the ones from a week or so ago are closer:
RealClear Politics Average
Donald Trump: 39.3, Ted Cruz: 33.0, John Kasich: 19.3
The CBS News/YouGov poll was conducted April 20-22. It has a margin of error of 6.6 percentage points.
Donald Trump: 40, Ted Cruz: 35, John Kasich: 20
The FOX News poll was conducted April 18-21. It has a margin of error of 4.0 percentage points.
Donald Trump: 41, Ted Cruz: 33, John Kasich: 16
The WTHR/Howey Politics poll was conducted April 18-21. It has a margin of error of 4.3 percentage points.
I think his events tomorrow and Monday will help him; and, I’m sure he’ll draw more people than Cruz has had.
I’m a bit curious why he doesn’t have a rally in Indy today (maybe couldn’t get a venue?). I read somewhere that he said yesterday that he was going to fly to Indy tonight (meaning last night).
I hope he’s taking today off.
He’s been running around this country a LOT.
