If a violent mob is met or greeted with reciprocal violence and more determination ... what is your best guess that the headlines will be?

Who cares about what the headline is? A police commander seeing obvious violence, threats, property destroyed etc will do what it takes to stop it. In some venues if you sit back and worry about headlines you can lose total control of a city.

Would that it were always so, but sometimes it depends whose ox is being gored, as the police are sometimes partisan in small venues.
