What the violent mob was trying to do in Costa Mesa was get to the Trump supporters. Most the supporters were held back, but some got caught and overwhelmed unfortunately. They were assaulting and threatening totally innocent people who only wanted to go to a rally.
It seems if you support someone they do not approve of, they will attempt to physically beat you or worse. Hard to believe in America, but here it is.
