If all you Trump supporters were on the losing end of a contest would you all give up,or would you double down?
I will support Trump if he is the nominee but this Ted has to bow out to save party unity BS is BS.
The Damage is done and frankly at this point we may as well tear it all down.
Aint that what the Donald wants? he says its all rigged.
I would suggest that if ANYONE is fracturing the party it is the Donald.
Rant off
I miss your gun threads.
Why throw good money after bad? Trump is going to get 1237 even if he were to lose IN. There is no reason for Cruz to stay in any more than Kasich. Or for that matter Rubio, Carson, Perry, Fiorina, Graham, etc. Trump has more delegates than all of the rest of the candidates combined.
Only ego keeps Cruz in the race. If he is really anti-GOPe, he should unify behind Trump, the only outsider left. That would take down the GOPe.
My memory tells me the GOP left the silent majority behind fracturing the party. They lied said they would do things to get elected and then... nothing. They followed along to get along ... that to was a lie because the GOP WANTED everything the O one put before them.
Donald Trump stepped in and wants to Make America Great Again.
The silent majority are agreeing with him.
THAT is not fracturing the Party.
>>> but this Ted has to bow out to save party unity BS is BS.
The history of contested conventions is one of failure. In the last 100 years, with 8 contested conventions, only one contested nominee defeated an uncontested nominee from the other party. That was in 1932, with FDR coming to the Dem convention with over 50% of the delegates (but there was a 2/3 requirement for the nomination back then). He got the nomination on the 4th ballot.
Picking someone other than Trump at this stage means, plain and simple, Prez. Hillary. Cruz, a bright man, a Constitutional scholar, knows these things, but persists in his madness. Whether he is driven by ruthless ambition, or whether he is on the GOPe leash, I don’t know and I don’t care. All I know is that Cruz’ efforts at this stage are counterproductive to defeating Hillary Clinton, and I am not in a mood to forget it.
If Trump did what Cruz is doing I would turn on him. What Cruz is doing is underhanded and disrespectful to the people. Cruz was all about the "will of the people" deciding this election in Iowa during his victory speech, now not so much. Cruz has no honor or integrity, doesn't care about "we the people" only his blind ambitions.
