I would see Susan Martinez from NM before Christie. Ernst is an interesting concept. Spanish-speaking woman would be the best bet.... But then OH and FL are critical.
Except Rubio won’t help him in Florida.
She’s anti-Trump and had a little problem involving a hotel, alcohol and the police...and her position as Gov. She’s since apologized, but the damage is done.
I can’t see that happening:
“Martinez was in the El Dorado Hotel in Santa Fe when police were called at 1:30am on December 13, 2015, concerning a noisy party. Governor Martinez was there with her family and staff. After police arrived, Governor Martinez repeatedly inquired about who made the complaint and told the police dispatcher that officers that were sent were not needed. But Martinez clearly showed signs of being drunk on the phone and in person to the Santa Fe Police.[72][73] Nine days later, a recording was brought forward by the police department which featured Martinez stating she knew that there was a person in the hotel causing a disturbance, divergent somewhat from her official statement.[74][75]”

I am honestly tired of reading and hearing her name tossed around as VP candidate. It is clearly a pandering move to appease and appeal to the female and hispanic vote.
I want a VP who will have the same strength, courage, and skill to pick up and the mantle that Trump will carry in his presidency. Trump will have a massive target on his back, so the nation needs someone strong should he no longer be able to serve.
Please get off this gender and alien concept. THAT is the DEMOCRAT’S game. Trump believes in MERIT like all of America used to believe until the left’s political correctness crap stole the minds of voters.
We need people with knowhow, not people who wear a skirt or talk alien.
Martinez would be where I’d put my money - if I gambled LOL.
I don’t think Ernst has been proven long enough to provide the legislative firepower he will need. Nor do I like the “identify politics” game that the Democrats play whereby you think you automatically “get women” by having a woman on the ticket (example: Sarah Palin).
I would add Scott Walker and Rand Paul to the short list, although Walker has no legislative experience he’s sure proven he knows how to get things done with the legislature. Rand Paul has a lot of good ideas and this would put him under the control of a “strong boss” and pull in now only his libertarian fans but many of his fathers.
All things considered I’d guess Rubio and Kasich are near the top of the list.
I’m w/ you on Susanna M. I have had her in my sights for about 8 months. My wife disagreed back then, and ever after, until now.
Her reason? “But nobody’s talking about her except you.”
I’ve heard her talked about 3 times in as many days. I think she presents a great prospect. Hope others see it as I do.
