“Gaslighting” is where there are smoke and mirror-like tactics used to make somebody else believe that they can’t trust their own instincts to the extent that they may even wonder if they haven’t gone insane.

That’s not how people are using the word “gaslighting” here. It’s a make-believe or “making it up as we go along” kind of thing to mean what they want it to mean,, which is kind of a liberal interpretation if you think about it.

That is exactly how people on this thread are using the term in accurately describing Rush’s agenda these days. He knows what he’s doing. And this can go on for just so long until a Trump nomination or Presidency renders Rush ridiculous.

If you don’t think Rush is consciously playing this gaslighting game you’ve obviously been so taken in by him you can’t see what’s going on.
