Yes, I thought that was a little odd. Trump has often had those endorsing him with him on stage, such as Dr. Ben, the Nascar guys, Jerry Falwell, Jr. Bobby Knight, etc. Maybe Pence was pressured by the GOPe and/or a PAC to endorse him, but he doesn’t want to be seen with Cruz.

I would guess that Pence probably got pressured by the GOPe. In Wisconsin, one week after saying Paul Ryan should be the nominee, Gov. Walker endorsed Cruz. Now after the Wisconsin primary, not so much. I read yesterday that even though Cruz was to choose Wisconsin delegates that did not happen. Walker didn’t honor the primary rules. Wisconsin delegates are bound on the 1st vote but have no loyalty to Cruz. That would make me think the GOPe will pull out all stops between now and the convention to remain in power and name the nominee. And we all know they don’t want Trump or Cruz
