So, you've already named him, cool!

And he lets you pick him up, so he must have a good memory of being treated well until abandoned :-(

I didn't know cats could contract aids.

Well of COURSE I named him already. Can’t call him Newbie or Cat forever. LOL!
I already had the name in mind. A friend’s daughter took in a stray dog last year and named him Cooper. I thought it would be a cool name for a cat and this is the first one to come along. And it suits him.

Normally it takes a couple of days to come up with a name for a new arrival. Having had so many over the years, I’m running out of ideas!

He was definitely someone’s pet. No telling why he was dumped but it wasn’t because he’s mean. He’s in here now (Hubby brought him in a minute ago) and he’s just happy as a clam. One by one, the others are walking up to check him out. The girls are lovin’ smelling a “real man”. LOL

Yes, aids can strike many animals. Horses, dogs, cats, monkeys, you name it. First order of business when a cat shows up is have it tested.
