Ping to my 93, I posted to the wrong person.

I've recently discovered the Captain and Tennille. When their show was dropped, she sang a lovely little song she and Captain wrote with a beautiful melody called We Never Really Say Goodbye.

They did a lot of love songs together. It's too bad she ended up divorcing him late in life when he became ill from a debilitating disease where he could no longer play.

Toni had it all, looks, voice and trained piano/keyboard player. Captain usually did the keyboard but sometimes she did.

I heard of them years ago but wasn't paying attention.

Karen and Richard Carpenter surely did a farewell song, but I can't think of one.

Two sides to every story:

EXCLUSIVE: How love DIDN'T keep pop duo Captain and Tennille together! Toni reveals her hypochondriac husband Daryl wasn't into sex and refused to remove his cap because he was obsessed with his hair loss
