Anyone that would want to be a LEO today needs a psych evaluation. I heavily discourage those that talk to me about being one.
I left it over two decades ago when I saw the writing on the wall. And it wasn't over fake accusations from hoodlums and other professional victim groups, but from WITHIN the department. That's what affirmative action has done to this country.
I could see intimate small towns being decent places to work in law enforcement, but those are becoming increasingly rare.
I live in a different city, where bad guys get shot, and it really is smart to be respectful to the cops when you get pulled over.
