What are the RNC rules about selecting a running mate, before being named the nominee? Anything about that? TIA
There are none that I know of, but the vote for a vice president-—while ALMOST always carried out based on who the nominee wants-—is separate.
It is conceivable (but I’ve never actually seen it happen) that a convention could force a veep on a nominee.
