It’s in his wheelhouse. He doesn’t need to “get his feet wet” on it, especially this.

You could be right about his limited understanding about other legislative/parliamentary politics issues, but THIS isn’t one of them.

I will vote for Trump in the general (assuming he will get the nomination), but I’m perplexed as to why he keeps repeating the same line about slapping tariffs on air conditioners, etc.

It’s not as though he doesn’t know better.

It’s not as though he doesn’t know better.

More tariffs and less income taxes. Worked well in 1789 and would again today.

A 20% across the board tariff on $2.7billion in annual imports balances the budget tomorrow. I like that idea.

He repeats it because he knows that threats make the other side flinch.

He's intimated that several times, even saying he wouldn't necessarily follow through, but those countries who are benefiting from the trade imbalance won't know what he will do and will have to react or lose their gravy train.
