We have been deceived and our country has been looted, but it is going to end, folks. Help is on the way
This is the crux of it. We have been looted and our country is about to collapse under the weight of our debt.
Last night at the Townhall Greta asked, “what about all of the poor countries? Shouldn’t we help them”?
Trump’s answer was, “ we are a debtor nation”.
People need to understand that if America collapses, we won’t be able to help anyone. And NO one will help us.
Congressman Bob Shuster, Pennsylvania 9, has endorsed Donald Trump this morning.
I find it amazing that the rest of the world is constantly thinking that America should “mind its own business”, yet they’ve all got their hands out. The thought that America does NOT owe everyone a hand-out is stunning to them.
I agree. I know that Greta does work with Franklin Graham’s org, Samaritan’s Purse, and they do a lot of great work. Respect them both for that.
When she asked that question and mentioned Haiti as one of the countries, the thing that came to mind for me was the Bush-Clinton venture down there and all the funds that were collected. Funds were also collected by other agencies. I was reading or seeing something in the last year or so that after all this time and all the money collected and supposedly distributed, it was still a mess down there. It was very disheartening. The money is either going to the despots in the country that keep it for themselves and/or administrators of the program, and/or those that are supposed to be providing various work and services, and very little gets to the needs of the people.
Haiti isn’t the only place this has happened. Haiti is especially on my mind because my BIL’s young, beautiful cousin was down there working in an orphanage helping Haiti children and was killed during the earthquake. Her uncle and brother are both priests and I think they may have even had a hard time dealing with it, though were extremely supportive to the family members.
I think the American Red Cross does a lot of great work around the world. I haven’t looked at it in a long time, but I remember looking at it some years ago and a huge percentage of the dollars on hand were going for administrative costs.
I guess what I’m trying to say is that we are all generous people, but we need to investigate some of these agencies before contributing to them and where and how the funds are spent. I would like most of the money to go to the people it’s meant for and better oversight and dispersal of the funds, especially like for Haiti.
I agree - we are a debtor nation and need to keep America First. There can be special public fund raisers, concerts, etc. to help others around the world; and, the US shouldn’t always be the main country contributing funds.
I hope I don’t sound heartless, because I’m not.
