When over half of people agree with Trump,this becomes a true testament to his persuasive skills.

Or could it be that it is Trump who agrees with what the people already knew....no persuasion necessary.

I know I didn't need Trump to convince me that the Republican party is corrupt. I've known that for decades.

It took Trump pointing out the corruption for most people to seen it, even if people here already knew it.

Trump is saying what most posters here have been thinking for decades, but he is getting a lit more people to come over to our way of thinking.

I’m not sure how he’s accomplished this, since his oratory skills are not what us typical for a politician, but he has delivered wonders already.

An whey do you think that Trump is not corrupt. people have been carried away with the idea of the “Great Man.” Is this your idea of a Great Man? Jackson, Taylor, Grant and Eisenhower were successful generals. Jackson and Ike were successes in Office, mainly because each was at bottom also a successful politician. Eisenhower came to the white House after orchestrating a great political and military alliance, most immediately from running NATO. How does Trump measure up to either man?

The problem is, I think most Republicans actually thought that the RNC wasn't corrupt. They actually thought that the Democrats were the ONLY party with insiders and rules-making committees.

Most Democrats KNOW their party is corrupt, but are willing to overlook that evil, because it thwarts the Republicans.

Most Republicans KNOW the Democrat party is corrupt, bu ignore or miss the internal corruption of the RNC (because they used to hide it).

The true FAILURE point for America can be summed up by a single statement, made by John Adams, many, many years ago:

"We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. . . . Our constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."

You are correct. Trump isn’t convincing anyone, he is just stating a widely recognized (but not admitted to) fact.

Trump is a populist.

He isn’t leading people in new directions. He just states what the silent majority has been thinking (but afraid to verbalize, because...PC police).
