The wins help Trump not only in terms of delegates, but also give the billionaire bragging rights and the ability to rhetorically sidelinehis rivals. On Tuesday he said about the primary race: As far as Im concerned its over.
The Cruz-Kasich strategy had already been facing difficulties. Shortly after the plan was announced, Kasich undercut the strategy Monday, saying Ive never told [supporters] not to vote for me. They ought to vote for me. He sought to downplay the strategy as well, describing it as not a big deal.
Kasichs struggling campaign was dealt another blow when it was revealed Monday that Kasich was not featured in an Oregon voters guide after the campaign missed the deadline to submit information for the pamphlet.
Even in states like Indiana, where Cruz is investing his resources, he still trails significantly behind Trump. The latest Fox News poll gave Trump an eight point lead over Cruz. Trump collected 41 percent, while Cruz had 33. Kasich was a distant third with 16 percent.

From the moment he opens his mouth to the moment he closes it, Cruz twists things. He’ll say “Trump wants to raise taxes.” Actually, Trump is lowering everyone’s income taxes and wants to raise the tax only on hedge funds.

As my conservative college prof dad used to say..
1/2 truth + 1/2 truth equals a bare-faced lie.
He was surrounded by left wing college professors in Boston, so he understood this equation quite well : )
As my country, hillbilly mom used to say, “a half assed truth is still a bare assed lie”
And then she’d smack me
lol!
Far worse when she went for the switch.
That normally came out when we kids were fighting, but sometimes for lying.
Depended on how hard she’d worked that day, I think. :>)
A switch stings like the dickens.
My parents were old school as well.
The worst case scenario was when we had to go ourselves to get the very switch we would be whipped with!
My mom was telling the story once of them having to go get the switch so their dad could lay into them.
She said her brother Ken showed her how to ‘twist the switch’ so it’d break soon after the switching began.
She also said that she’d never ask us now to get our own switch after that. We had a couple of old maples in the front yard. They were far too close to the house. :>)
Mom had mercy on you. Good for her.
“I would have mercy instead of sacrifice.”
One of my favorite verses in the bible to this day.
” I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners.”
