From the beginning, his campaign has reminded me of a high-schooler running for student body president.
It's like they manufacture what they think voters would like. None of it is natural. "Hey, we're in Indiana! Let's have our guy act out a scene from a movie featuring a popular sport in Indiana!"
Think of FR a year ago, before the campaigns really started. Cruz was considered a stalwart outsider, fighting for us, he was nearly universally admired.
Now, he has very little support here. Probably half of Freepers think he's a fool and want him primaried out of the Senate.
The candidate is always responsible, I get it. But his staff has hurt him by doing stupid stuff that just doesn't fit.
Contrast this with Corey Lewandowski, who's main job as Campaign Manager seems to be schedule appearances and let his candidate be himself.

I agree with you. A year ago, I was a strong Cruz supporter. I stood by him when he tried to fight on the Senate Floor. I stuck up for him when he called McConnel out for being a bloody liar. But now, man does desperation reek.
And look at Rush Limbaugh. Don’t tell me he’s in Trump’s corner or that he is independent because he hasn’t endorsed. How stupid does that man think we are? Does he live by the PT Barnum cliche of a sucker born every minute?
