I knew it. I was saying this for days.
Scarsdale is more than an hour away from lower Manhattan on a good day and 9/11 was not a good day. They were not one of the first units to respond on 9/11. And no one from New York City would refer to Scarsdale as "down" ... rather it would be "upstate".
If you read this book, you'd learn about the problems firefighters from Queens, which is only a bridge away from Manhattan, had getting into the city that day.

This post-Festivus Airing of Grievances, and lapping-up & regurgitation of the MSM kool-aid—as when they suggested Trump wanted to raise Joe Paterno from the dead, when it was clear from what he said that he was talking about bringing back Paterno’s bronze memorial—it’s pure pathos.

My Dad told me that stretch of Central Park Av in Scarsdale and Yonkers was a hangout for street racers in the 50’s-60’s. before the area was built up. Kinda like Woodward Av in Detroit. Too bad they knocked down the old Nathan’s there.
