I think he is referring to pledged delegates. 172-54=118.

We won’t know for sure until they actually vote in the convention.

You are right to be wary.

Not really, unless you are suggesting most of the delegates on the ballot lied about their intentions... Tonight it will be known which delegates got elected and based on their public statements you will have a good idea of how many will vote for which candidate at the convention.

Yes they are free to change their minds, but its pretty safe bet, that unlike professional politicians, most will likely stick to their public statements.

The road to Hell is paved with good intentions. If they are unpledged and unbound, then they can do anything they want. They will be wined and dined by the candidates.

Yes they are free to change their minds, but its pretty safe bet, that unlike professional politicians, most will likely stick to their public statements.

I wish that were only true. I participated in GOP politics for a long time. I have been a delegate to state conventions over a half dozen times. The people who get selected to be delegates to the national convention are usually part of the local GOPe. It is a reward to go to the national convention where you can party and have fun. Many of the delegates have been there repeatedly. It is a perk for those who have committed lots of time and effort to the party. I hope you are right.

I’m in Western PA, small municipality and just got back from voting. It seems traffic is a bit heavier this year; especially considering the time (not everyone is off work yet) and the wait (not bad, 15 minutes maybe, considering I am however used to walking in and out though in previous primaries).
Can’t stand that Toomey can’t be primaried out; almost considered writing myself in instead..hehe.
Ended up voting for Trump. I do wish I could have voted for Cruz, but he simply lost me these past couple months as I do not trust him around the establishment and I do like Trump’s fighting spirit and business candor.
Primaries for us close at 8P.

Between 2-5 is the slow period at my backwater MD poll.

Lot was full, had to wait in line.

Trump stuff on most of the vehicles.

Even the union goon poll workers were oddly cheerful and helpful.

That was weird.

Go Trump!

Does poor Cavuto have some sort of polyp or cancer in his esophagus or throat? He can hardly talk these days.

I don’t think it’ll be that close. By the time the convention rolls around, I think Trump will be at about 1400.
