We always called it “Wilkes-Barra.” Back in the Fifties and early Sixties, when we went to my uncle and aunt’s hunting lodge in Sullivan County, we had to drive through WB because it was long before they built a freeway through the city.

YEP - I remember Wilkes Barra. That was regular and so was Wilkes Bear. But “people” couldn’t figure it out and got stressed so they had to let ‘em start calling it Wilkes Barry.

Ehhh.

Anyway - hubby said NO PROTESTERS at the rally. He’s headed for Clarks Summit to get me my Krispy Kremes.
